Role Title – Development Team Manager, Luton Town Ladies Football Club (LTLFC)
Responsible to – Director of Football Operations via maintaining a close working relationship with the First Team Management team.
Start Date – Immediate.
The Luton Town Ladies Development team holds a position within the FA Women`s Pyramid. There is an ambitious plan for this squad to progress up the pyramid developing all parties en route and ensuring that playing standards and position are as close as possible to that of the First Team.
The Senior section of LTLFC is well supported by a large youth section, ensuring a conveyor belt of appropriate standard players for selection and further development.
Key Tasks
- Ensure the transition of Luton Town Youth team players into senior football with the specific aim of future inclusion within the First Team.
- Recruitment of suitable players from outside of the club with the potential to develop into First Team players.
- Develop and nurture individual players capable of performing to a high standard in varying formations, tactical roles and responsibilities.
- Produce a team and players with technical and tactical competence that bridges the transition from Development to First Team football.
- Combine and collaborate with the First Team Management to ensure the successful transition of players to the First Team and that weekly training and match day squads are coordinated.
- Make recommendations regarding the movement of players between squads and assisting with the decision making process.
- Plan the logistics for all training sessions, matchday fixtures and relevant club events.
- Lead the Development Team Management during assigned fixtures.
- Responsible for all kit and equipment as directed.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with all players and Club Management.
- At all times act in a safe, responsible, respectful and professional manner whilst representing LTLFC.

- Ensure a safe, respectful and positive environment in which all participants can flourish within to reach their full potential.
- Engage with the Club Welfare Officer, as and when required, regarding all players especially those under the age of 18.
Essentials
- UEFA C License (FA Level 2)
- First Aid in Football (FA Emergency Aid)
- Valid DBS check
- Safeguarding Children Course (Safeguarding Children Workshop)
- Full UK driver’s license
This position is currently a voluntary position.
